BINDT examinations: please carefully read the instructions below
In order to qualify and be eligible for BINDT certification exams you’ll first need to complete the official Application Form, which is an editable PDF format. We recommend using your browser PDF application, Adobe Acrobat or PDFescape to do this.
Once the Application form is completed:
- Download a PDF copy and attach it to an email, sending it to: Wendy Whittle (wendy (at) rms-reliability.com).
- Next print the PDF, add the required signatures and together with the signed ‘witnessed’ passport size photographs, and any certification documents (if required), post it, by registered mail, to Matthew Calver at BINDT – address below.
Note: you do not need to complete the witness declaration and send photograph’s if you already have a valid BINDT CAT I certification.
CAT I: you’ll need 6 months or more experience in VA. When completing the experience section on the application form please provide sufficient details of your experience, ie. involved with the setup of a VA program, have taken measurements on various machines, done VA routes and generated exception reports etc.)
CAT II: you’ll need 18 months or more experience in VA. When completing the experience section on the application form please provide sufficient details of your experience.
CAT III: you’ll need 36 months or more experience in VA and have a valid CAT II certificate. When completing the experience section on the application form please provide sufficient details of your experience.
Note: Please make sure you fill in ALL details on the form – any forms not completed correctly or forms that are incomplete could be delayed in processing and could result in exam papers not being released.
Note: all certifications are valid for 5 years.
Returning forms on time
Application forms and supporting documents need to be received by BINDT a minimum of 10 days before the date of your exam. If application forms are not received in time then your forms may not be processed and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to sit the exam.
There is no need to complete the the payment section on the Application Form as all payments are made directly to RMS Ltd with payment details collected on the Student Enrollment form.
For those with an RMS account please send your PO by email in the usual way: (wendy (at) rms-reliability.com). For non RMS accounts, a Pro-forma invoice will be sent by email – payment is required upon on receipt to guarantee the booking.
