RDI has once again taken it to the next level. This technology will have a big impact on anyone performing Modal analysis or wanting to get into this field from a VA background. I have some fantastic cases lined up in the field to document, but my wall-mounted replica Peacock Bass from Colombia will do nicely for now as a first test. With the data already collected from my Modal hammer impacts, I added a selection of visual (ROI) measurement points afterward (can be added before acquisition).
The system automatically identifies two natural frequencies, with the most dominant at 4.15 Hz. Filtered or unfiltered visual data of the modes can then be observed, as well as freq, time FRF, phase, and coherence data for analysis.
