“One of my favourite addons for the IRIS M Motion Amplification Camera by RDI Technologies Inc. is the Laser Tach Sync. It is used to carry out MA on rotating components. Interestingly, it removes the synchronous component of vibration so we can visualise any non-synchronous vibrations. This might be torsional, flexing, and bending that is non-synchronous. Here are a few clips of testing the technology on a cooling fan before we did a job where they were having some issues with blades cracking. The flexing on the fan blades in this test case was normal.” — Stuart Walker
