Introduction: A0430L3 Laser Speed Sensor
The A0430L3 Laser Speed Sensor measures the turning speed on rotating equipment. It uses a laser beam in conjunction with an advanced signal processing algorithm to measure turning speed without requiring special markings on the shaft.
Readings are possible from up to 30 feet away without reflective tape or up to 100 feet away with reflective tape. The A0430L3 connects to the AMS 2140 and shines a laser beam on an exposed area of the rotor. The AMS 2140 automatically detects, displays, and incorporates turning speed into the machine measurement. This information is critical for machinery diagnostics and when establishing a new database.
