RMS provides Oil Analysis service to a wide range of industries and applications. Oil analysis may typically apply to low speed machines, critical gearboxes and hydraulic systems. Oil is routinely analysed and monitored to assess:
- Chemistry – used to assess if the oils properties are within normal tolerance and has the correct lubricating properties.
- Contamination – used to assess and measure ingress of foreign bodies, which is arguably one of the biggest root causes of machine failure.
- Wear – faulty and wearing internal machine components are detected at the earliest possible stage.
RMS has over 20 years of experience in setting up Oil analysis programs. Selecting the correct tests and monitoring period for an asset is key to an Oil Analysis programs success.
Once the assets and tests for Oil monitoring have been identified, we supply Oil Analysis kits in multiples of 10 or 100. Each kit includes a sample bottle, tubing to collect the sample, and labels. The kit also comes with prepaid postage to our Oil Laboratory.
We offer extra tests such as MPC and Ruler/Rpvot for Turbine applications which can give an insight into varnish levels and additives remaining in the oil. We also offer wear debris analysis to help determine the source and severity of the problem.
For urgent sample analysis we can turn around promptly. Our planned sampling turnaround is around 3-4 days from receipt of the sample. PDF Reports are sent via email.
We also provide Oil Analysis Lablink software so customers can manage their own sample analysis data and reporting. We also offer a range of Oil Sampling products from Luneta which aids in the collection of the samples.
